Summary by Archive | |
Summary | It is an imperial decree issued in response to the petition of Mehmed Beşe, a merchant-yamak from Vidin. He embarked on an unspecified amount of cheese to be transported to the capital. While sailing from Silistre towards Prevadi, his ship was attacked by 20 bandits - including Yılık Hasan, Küçük Ali and Tüvenkli? Hasan, from the villages of Topçu, Esirci and Yıldır, Asırlık and Şahinler - somewhere around Musadova? Deresi. The culprits seized his gold coins (zincirli zerr-i Mahbub and Macar altın) with a value of 1364 guruş and white coins (beyaz akçe) with a value of 220 guruş as well as a valuable sword, a watch (pandol saat) and some other unspecified properties. Escaping a certain death, Mehmed Beşe tried to get his stolen properties back. |
