| Summary | It is an imperial decree issued in response to the petition of Şamlıoğlı Mahmud Reis, a ship owner charged with duty of barley transportation from İbrail to the capital. On his way to İbrail, he passed one night at the house of Hacı Murtazaoğlı Hüseyin where he was attacked by several Janissaries including his host, his brother and his men Şamlıoğlu Ömer, Hacıoğlu İsmail and Sabsız Hacı Hüseyinoğlu Mustafa. During the attack, Mahmud Reis’ nephew Ali was shot to death. The sultan ordered the capture and punishment of the culprits. |
